Rating The 5 Best Options For The Revival's Opponents at WrestleMania 35

The Revival have been arguably the best tag team in the WWE since their rivalry with American Alpha back in NXT, and now that they've been given the ball on the main roster, they need to be given the best opportunity to run with it. WrestleMania is on the horizon, and if the WWE are seriously trying to push tag team wrestling the way we've heard, then the duo of Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder need to be given a big-time match.

Because of the size of the WrestleMania card, there's very limited opportunities for tag team matches to be given a significant amount of time, but The Revival have been on fire lately, and giving them 15-20 minutes could tear the house down in New York.

With the way the NXT performers have been booked since arriving on the main roster, we don't know who is on which brand at this point, so some of these options may be from Smackdown Live, but without further ado, this is our 5 best options for The Revival at WrestleMania 35.

#5 The Hardy Boyz

Matt and Jeff Hardy are arguably the greatest tag team in wrestling history, and last week on Smackdown Live, they reunited, signalling another strong tag team to join the ranks. Although they are on the blue brand, a move to RAW to challenge The Revival makes a lot of sense, but it may not happen due to the limited time left between now and WrestleMania 35 in April.

In terms of big names on the biggest stage, it doesn't get bigger in the current tag team climate than these two, and it would allow the ageing Hardys to have yet another classic bout at WrestleMania.

It seems too early to take the titles off The Revival, so giving them a solid defence against a legendary duo such as this seems like a great play, but because of the differing brands, it's a long shot at this stage.

#4 Heavy Machinery

The duo of Otis Dozovic and Tucker Knight got over big in NXT with the Full Sail crowd, and they looked to have immense potential on the main roster, but their booking since promotion has been quite baffling.

Inside the ring, these two are a lot of fun, and they combine their big size with quite surprising athleticism and great tag team chemistry, and if they get pushed correctly, they could be a legitimate contender in the near future.

Since debuting on the main roster, we've just seen a lot of weird interactions with Big Doze, but they are clearly stars of the future, and a quick push to the RAW Tag Team Championships would be a fun ride.

As we've said already, it's hard to imagine the WWE taking the titles from Dash and Dawson, but Heavy Machinery are stars to watch out for, and the WWE might shock us all and give them a big-time push straight out of the gate.

#3 Chad Gable and Bobby Roode

In terms of recent stories, this one makes a lot of sense for the former Champions Bobby Roode & Chad Gable to get a rematch with The Revival, and even though it would likely land on the pre-show, it's definitely an option WWE will look at.

The two teams have been tearing it up at house shows for the past few months, and their chemistry is fantastic, but at this point, it looks like the match is just too played out on RAW.

A rematch at Fastlane is definitely an option, because WWE look to put the biggest bouts on the biggest stage, and the next 2 teams definitely inspire more excitement than Roode & Gable.

It seems like Gable is definitely bound for bigger and better things as a solo star in the WWE, so this tag team partnership may be coming to an end in the near future, so a WrestleMania loss to The Revival makes that possible, but either way, it's one that WWE will no doubt consider.

#2 DIY and Aleister Black & Ricochet

At WrestleMania, the WWE like to incorporate lots of multi-man matches to get as many people on the show as possible, and given that both of these teams have pinned The Revival in recent weeks, this one makes a lot of sense. All 3 teams are different but incredibly talented, and if they were given 15 minutes to put together a classic bout, there would be some incredible spots throughout.

At the end of the day, all 4 of these men are better off as solo stars, and will all likely get that shot down the road, but with so many singles rivalries for WrestleMania already built, this is the best spot for the NXT 4 at this event.

RAW's tag team division has been lacklustre for quite some time, but adding in 4 of the WWE's hottest young stars with a popular team with The Revival is a way to get everyone talking about tag team wrestling, and it's a great way to kickstart the WWE's promise to treat tag team wrestling better.

#1 DIY

In terms of history and a great story, there's no team in the WWE better for this spot at WrestleMania than #DIY, the recently promoted duo of Tomasso Ciampa and Johnny Wrestling.

After their main roster promotion, DIY again came together after an intense rivalry down in NXT to defeat their former foes The Revival, and if the WWE can recapture some of that NXT magic, it could be the best match on the entire WrestleMania card.

All 4 NXT call-ups have now defeated The Revival, so the last option of a triple threat is the most likely at this point, but tag teams rarely get the 2 on 2 traditional match at WrestleMania, and this one certainly deserves that billing.

The future of all 4 recent NXT call-ups is still up in the air at this point, but all 4 men need to be doing something, so the tag team division on RAW right now makes the most sense, and this one has the potential to be the best bout out of all these possibilities.
