RAW Thoughts: 2018 - Year of Braun Strowman

The Year of Braun

Strowman has emerged as a huge fan favourite and a constant threat on the WWE RAW roster throughout 2017. He has demolished every Superstar the WWE has put in his way, apart from "The Beast" Brock Lesnar. But that is going to change starting at the Royal Rumble this January in the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia, PA, in a triple threat Universal Championship match which also includes a rival of Strowman's, Kane.

Braun will be the face of RAW for the most part of 2018 just like AJ Styles has been for Smackdown in 2017. The tone has been set for Braun to have a breakthrough championship run type of year!

Power, Strength & Intelligence

The "Monster Among Men" has every asset and skill needed to be a powerhouse in the WWE and have one of the most successful careers in history. With his world-famous running power-slam finisher and hard nose style, he is destined to be one of the greats.

He does uphold a few of RAW General Manager Kurt Angles "3" I's, which is definitely his intensity and overall intelligence. He is remarkable in the ring and can pretty much wrestle with any current or past Superstar, in my opinion.

For his size and stature, he has explosive speed and power that can intimidate and destroy any competitor WWE puts in his path. Ring awareness is also one of his strongest assets and will help propel him to the heights he is capable of in 2018. As soon as his music hits, you know a beaten and possible massacre is about to take place in that ring!

The WWE Universal Championship is his destiny!

We all know Brock Lesnar has held the WWE Universal title for the majority of 2017 and has successfully defended it multiple times to prove he is the alpha male of RAW. Brock has also defeated Braun on two occasions where the Universal title was on the line.

That will not hold back Strowman though as he looks to win the title at the Rumble and have a run like Brock as had this past year!

Bold Prediction: Whichever way it goes at the Royal Rumble, I see a title match at this year's WrestleMania 34 between Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar in New Orleans, LA. This is the year Strowman should main event WrestleMania to set up a great title run in 2018. At WrestleMania, if Brock is not his opponent, then he would probably face Kane.

Either way, Braun will have an epic year and capture the WWE Universal Title in 2018!
