Rey Mysterio addressed his fans at the WaleMania event on Thursday night in San Jose. He spoke about the rumours on his retirement and on the tragedy regarding Perro Aguayo Jr. Rey was asked about how he was holding up following the unexpected tragedy episode.
Rey mentioned that he was receiving enormous support from his parents, wife, kids, friend, Konnan and his fans. He added that these people are keeping him to move forward. Rey also spoke about the rumours on his retirement and about leaving WWE.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter told earlier that Rey was not retiring. Rey affirmed that he was not retiring and added, that is what Perro wouldn’t have wanted him to do. Regarding WWE he said, after spending 13 Years with WWE he wanted to do his own thing, call his own shots and be with his own family.
