Ring Of Honor held their Final Battle on December 15th and it was an amazing night of professional wrestling capped off by a stellar main event. The entrances inside the Manhatten Center for the pro wrestlers were at an outstanding production quality in terms of what they could do with the space.
But when former WWE star Cody Rodes made his entrance alongside Brandi Rhodes she kissed the ring, and they made their way to the ring. But when the Grandson Of A Plumber took off his white cloaked hood he revealed something rather surprising about his look.
Cody's normal brown hair was bleach blonde and he looked just as dangerous. It was also interesting how Cody's wife Brandi Rhodes was the one carrying the ROH World Championship to the ring instead of the actual ROH Champion.
There was a spot where Dalton Castle's henchmen, The Boys got involved and Brandi Rhodes hit them both with a splash off the top turnbuckle to the floor. After this, the referee ejected all outside assistance from ringside meaning this would be a true one-on-one contest.
Cody Rhodes has held the ROH World Title with pride as a dastardly force and member of The Elite, but it all changed in the Manhatten Center. Dalton Castle and Rhodes fought in an extremely brutal contest that actually saw Cody getting busted wide open.
With his face a crimson mask, Cody fought on and his bleach blonde hair soon took on a hellish shade of red as Dalton Castle countered out of practically everything he could throw at the flamboyant leader of The Boys.
In the end, Castle would kick out of Cody's Crossroads and hit his Bang-A-Rang to pick up the win and walk out of Final Battle as the ROH World Champion. It was a tough night for Cody Rhodes, but a great night for pro wrestling as everyone got an amazing story out of the main event.
