What’s the story?

In a recent interview with IGN, Bullet Club members Cody Rhodes, Adam “Hangman” Page, and The Young Bucks gave us an in-depth brief regarding the Bullet Club’s success, what the group’s actual motive is, what it takes to join the Bullet Club and a lot more.

In case you didn’t know…

Initially formed by former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor in 2013, the Bullet Club is definitely considered as one of the most legendary factions in the world of Professional history.

Throughout the course of the Bullet Club’s five-year-old history, the faction has already seen the likes AJ Styles, Adam Cole, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows align themselves with the group in the past and the current incarnation of the group consists the likes of Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, Marty Scurll, Tama Tonga, Bad Luck Fale, The Young Bucks, Hangman Page, Chase Owens, renowned actor Stephen Amell and many more.

The heart of the matter

While speaking with IGN, The Bullet Club literally provided an explanation of the Bullet Club as faction members Cody Rhodes, Hangman Page, Matt and Nick Jackson discussed some major topics regarding the faction’s success and what the future holds for the Bullet Club. Below are the highlights from the interview:

What is the Bullet Club?

Cody Rhodes, who currently claims himself to be the “leader” of the Bullet Club, believes that in simple words the Bullet Club is basically the "cool kids" table in the lunchroom.

However, according to the Young Bucks, they described the Bullet Club as a group of friends who share the common goal and dream together in the Pro Wrestling industry and the motive for the faction is to make wrestling better than what it currently is, which has always been the goal for the BC.

What does it take to be in the Bullet Club?

Cody Rhodes said that in order to join the Bullet Club, it doesn’t acquire a specific trait for a particular superstar, but, Hangman Page believes that joining the BC takes a lot of dedication in order to make sure that a superstar creates the most fun and interactive experience for the fans around the world.

“It doesn't take one specific trait. There's a lot of masters of various disciplines in the group. Example: The Young Bucks are the greatest tag team since the Rock N' Roll express...Yujiro is a Tokyo pimp...and I'm just the best thing in the entire industry right now.”- Cody Rhodes.

In addition, Matt and Nick Jackson stated that in order to join the Bullet Club, one has to have the passion for pro wrestling but most importantly needs to be a good Pro Wrestler and an unafraid team player.

How has Bullet Club helped them to change their careers?

Being a former ROH World Champion, Rhodes claims that the Bullet Club has certainly changed his career in a huge manner as he has been fortunate enough to be a part of the group, which has helped him make some genuinely nice friends and a lot of money as well.

Page noted that his stock in the Pro Wrestling industry has skyrocketed since joining Bullet Club as he is now constantly touring the planet, facing off against the best competition in the world, and has been creating the most popular content in wrestling with the Being the Elite YouTube series.

Nick Jackson stated that the Bullet Club has helped him and his brother Matt become more recognizable and claimed that the fact that the BC is so huge it automatically puts the members of the faction on a pedestal right away.

According to Matt, ever since joining the Bullet Club everything has definitely changed for him and his brother Nick in a huge manner as they have become more identifiable which in turn has made them more marketable as well, thus increasing their value as Professional Wrestlers.

The state of the Bullet Club in five years:

Cody Rhodes thinks that the Bullet Club is certainly the most unpredictable faction in today’s Pro Wrestling and one can’t be sure what’s going to happen within the group five minutes from now on.

On the other hand, Page imagines that five years from now on the BC will still be in the hands of people who are self-motivated to give the most creative and engaging content in all of wrestling.

Lastly, Nick Jackson claimed that in five years the Bullet Club will be regarded as the most popular faction in Pro Wrestling history, whereas, brother Matt thinks that five years from now the group will still be around but with different members aligned with it, but despite that, people will still remember the impact the Bullet Club had on the business.

What’s next?

The members of the Bullet Club will be a part of ROH: Supercard of Honor on the 7th of April, 2018 in New Orleans, as Cody Rhodes gets set to lock horns with Kenny Omega.

Meanwhile, Hangman Page will feature in a one-on-one bout with Kota Ibushi, whereas, Marty Scurll and The Young Bucks will challenge for the ROH World and Six-Man Tag Titles respectively.

Author’s take

The Bullet Club will definitely go down as one of the most memorable and standout factions of all time, if not the best ever to step into the Pro Wrestling business. One may have mixed feelings towards this group, but it’s certainly undeniable that one cannot deny or overlook the impact of the Bullet Club.
