What's the story?

On October 22nd, 2018, Roman Reigns shocked the WWE Universe with the tragic announcement that he'd be stepping away from WWE, relinquishing the WWE Universal Championship and taking time off to deal with Leukemia.

While updates on Reigns' recovery have been scarce, a photo of The Big Dog has emerged online - and he looks very happy and healthy!

In case you didn't know...

In October last year, Roman Reigns shocked the world when he opened RAW by revealing the devastating news that he had been in remission with Leukemia for the past 11 years and would have to step away from wrestling to deal with the issue.

Roman Reigns vacated the WWE Universal Championship to chants of, "Thank you, Roman" before going backstage and being emotionally embraced by a plethora of WWE Superstars, performers and officials.

Last month, though, Roman Reigns appeared at WWE's Tribute To The Troops event and The Big Dog has been confirmed for an appearance at the World of Wheels exhibition this February 8th in Pittsburgh, and only recently Chris Jericho spoke with Chris Van Vliet and said that he texts Reigns regularly and that he remains in good spirits.

The heart of the matter

Susanne Brunner, the KARK 4 TODAY anchor, took to Twitter today to post a photo of Roman Reigns who was at the same hotel as her in Hawaii. The Big Dog was pictured looking very happy and healthy, and had pretty obviously been working out, too, as we can see from his attire.

What's next?

While updates on Reigns' health have been scarce, it's nice to see photos of him looking happy. Pittsburgh locals can now make plans to meet Reigns in February next year, though, at World of Wheels on February 8th.
