Roman Reigns News: Staples Center donates 10K under Roman Reigns' name for charity

What's the story?

The WWE officially announced that a big donation was made by the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA in honor of Roman Reigns and his ongoing battle with Leukemia.

In case you didn't know

Roman Reigns is a former WWE Universal Champion and former three-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Also, Reigns is a former Tag Team Champion as part of The Shield (with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins), the 2015 Royal Rumble Winner, former Unites States Champion, former Intercontinental Champion, and the ninth "Grand Slam" Champion.

Roman Reigns has been out of action since October 22, 2018. Reigns announced that he is currently battling Leukemia, a disease that Reigns has privately battled and had put into remission approximately eleven years ago. Reigns vacated his WWE Universal Championship on this night and has begun treatments for the disease as of November 8th.

The heart of the matter

Roman Reigns' hiatus caused the WWE to make drastic changes to their creative plans, which meant The Shield disbanded much sooner than anticipated. A heel turn by Dean Ambrose to Seth Rollins would occur later on in the night to conclude the October 22nd edition of Monday Night RAW to cap off what was clearly a very emotional evening for the entire WWE Universe.

The Staples Center, represented by President Lee Zeidman, presented a $10,000 check to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at this week's edition of Monday Night RAW. The donation will be granted to the Children's Health of Dallas, as per request by Roman Reigns. What's next?

Roman Reigns is currently receiving treatments for his latest bout of Leukemia. There is currently no timetable set on when Reigns will be able to return back to in-ring action.
