Opinion: Royal Rumble is the perfect platform to initiate the Four Horsewomen Of WWE Vs MMA Storyline 

Ronda Rousey is going to face Sasha Banks at Royal Rumble pay-per-view, who is one of the four horsewomen of WWE, the other three being Charlotte, Becky Lynch and Bayley.

Bayley is currently on RAW along with Sasha Banks and they are close friends, while Becky Lynch and Charlotte are on SmackDown. Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir are the four horsewomen of MMA who are all currently in WWE with Ronda Rousey being on RAW and the others on NXT.

While there have been a few staredowns and confrontations between the members of these factions and a showdown between them has been hinted at, Royal Rumble might be the place where their feud could be initiated.

At Survivor Series 2018, the then SmackDown Women's Champion Becky Lynch was slated to face RAW Women's champion Ronda Rousey in a champion vs champion match. Before their scheduled match at Survivor Series pay per view, Rousey and Lynch indulged in a war of words at both on their respective shows as well as Twitter.

During an invasion on RAW by SmackDown's women roster led by the champ, Becky Lynch, Becky beat Rousey ruthlessly with chair shots. But in that attack, Becky got injured and therefore could not compete in the match at Survivor Series and WWE universe was devoid of what looked like a great showdown between the two.

But we got to see another great match, though without any build, as Lynch was replaced by Charlotte. Charlotte faced Rousey at Survivor Series. They both gave a stellar performance but the match ended in a disqualification as Charlotte went crazy and delivered an intense beatdown to Ronda Rousey with a kendo stick.

Charlotte and Becky both got the payback when Ronda Rousey interfered in the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship Tables, Ladders and Chairs triple threat match between Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Asuka at WWE TLC pay-per-view last month. As a result, Asuka captured the title and Becky and Charlotte were left sitting red-faced at ringside.

Now, at Royal Rumble, Ronda Rousey will face Sasha Banks for the RAW Women's championship, Becky Lynch will face Asuka for SmackDown Women's championship and Charlotte is a frontrunner to win the women's Royal Rumble match.

If WWE wants to start the four horsewomen of WWE vs the four horsewomen of MMA feud, it might make Charlotte, Becky and Bayley interfere in the championship match to help Sasha Banks capture the RAW Women's title and hand Rousey her first singles loss in WWE. Or if WWE still wants to keep Rousey undefeated, the interference may occur after the match while Rousey is celebrating her victory and the four horsewomen of WWE gang up on her and beat her down.

This may be followed by Ronda Rousey bringing her group to together to respond to the beatdown at the weekly shows or maybe at Elimination Chamber next month, which will eventually lead to a showdown between the two factions down the line, possibly at WrestleMania or on a later date. All this will sum up to great TV. The story, until now, has been built gradually over a few months and will definitely work wonders if executed properly.

So, if WWE has plans to feature this feud in the future, Royal Rumble is the ideal place to initiate it.
