Backstage details on massive botch during Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan at Bad Blood; Returning WWE star made one major mistake

Liv Morgan defended her WWE Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley at Bad Blood 2024, with Dominik Mysterio locked inside a shark cage suspended in the ringside area. The Miracle Kid retained her gold in controversial circumstances.

In the closing moments, The Eradicator assaulted Dirty Dom with a Kendo stick before Raquel Rodriguez made a shocking return and attacked the Australian. This forced the referee to call for the bell and award the match to Ripley via DQ. However, Raquel placed Morgan over Rhea despite the match being over. This left fans wondering about a possible botch.

According to a report by Fightful Select, the planned finish for the match was the defending champion pinning Rhea Ripley with the help of Raquel Rodriguez. However, since the official saw everything unfold, he ''couldn't justify not doing a DQ finish.''

Damian Priest claims Rhea Ripley will punish The Judgment Day

In the post-Bad Blood 2024 press conference, Damian Priest announced that he would focus on his singles career moving forward. The Archer of Infamy defeated former stablemate Finn Balor in Atlanta.

The 42-year-old also reacted to Rhea getting robbed of a potential title win due to Raquel's interference. Priest claimed The Eradicator would rip The Judgment Day apart.

"Look, we knew something was going to be up. There was no way this event was going to go down without The Judgment Day trying to do something. We were caught by surprise by Raquel's return; I wasn't expecting that one. But I can only imagine what Rhea is going to do to these people. I don't feel bad. I have no sympathy for them. Rhea Ripley is gonna rip them apart," he said.
