There has been a lot of talk recently over the creative setup backstage in WWE, with many claiming Vince McMahon is still the one calling all the shots. That, however, doesn't seem to be the case, as Dave Meltzer reports that McMahon, at the moment, is not involved with the booking.

Since Vince McMahon was forced into retirement last year, Triple H stepped up and was later made the Chief Content Officer.

McMahon plotted his way back onto the WWE board in 2023 and, as things stand, is now the Executive Chairman of a merged company between WWE and UFC, called TKO Group Holdings.

McMahon still has power on paper, but reports state that he is no longer making the storyline decisions. As noted in this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Triple H is the boss from a creative standpoint, whereas Ed Koskey is the "operations person" who ensures that the scripts move through hands seamlessly.

Bruce Prichard is said to be the link between various teams, such as creative and talent relations, and it makes sense, considering his extensive backstage experience in WWE. It was noted that while Vince McMahon might be out of the creative planning right now, the insinuation was that he would assume control at any time he wanted in the future.

"Regarding the creative process, right now, Paul Levesque is the person in charge. He's the one making all the key decisions. Bruce Prichard is a conduit between creative, talent relations, and talent services. Ed Koskey is the operations person who keeps the scripts flowing. At the moment, Vince McMahon is out of the creative process, but it was stressed to me the term 'at the moment,'" revealed Dave Meltzer.

Who has the most power in WWE?

He might not "be in the weeds" any longer from a creative standpoint, but it was stated that Vince McMahon is still the most influential person across the WWE.

Despite the heat on him owing to multiple legal issues, Vince has retained control at the top of the corporate chain, even after the promotion's merger with UFC. Meltzer clarified that McMahon has the most power in WWE, but Triple H is looking after the product while Nick Khan handles the business strategies.

"McMahon is still the person in charge of the company with the most power but Levesque is running creative and Nick Khan is making the business moves," added Dave.
