WWE Rumours: The Undertaker apparently injured

Will the Phenom have his swan song next year?

The Undertaker was supposed to have his retirement match this year at Wrestlemania 32 against John Cena at his home state of Texas. However, things didn’t work out as planned, as Cena suffered a torn rotator cuff that kept him on the shelf for five months. As a result, The Phenom’s retirement was seemingly delayed by a year. After his Wrestlemania 32 match against Shane McMahon, it was reported that The Undertaker said that he was retiring. However, it was not the first time he’s said that and he always changes his mind around November or December. Not long after that, it was reported that Undertaker was furious at Vince McMahon who had asked him to come and work at Summerslam as well. However, cooler heads have seemingly prevailed then.A couple of photos surfaced on the internet this week showing The Phenom in crutches. The second photo was taken on Sunday with a fan, and Undertaker had crutches in that picture as well. It is well known that for a while now The Undertaker has faced issues with his back, hip and knees. He may be dealing with them more now and clearly seems to have some injury or the other.

The second and most recent picture, taken this past Sunday

Some months ago there was a picture that surfaced with Undertaker holding what looked like a crutch. However, the fan who was in the photo with him clarified by saying that it was simply a designer cane which he had made and 'Taker just wanted to hold it. Now, things seem different as it can be seen that those are legitimate crutches. It is unclear how long he will be injured, but whatever it is, we at Sportskeeda wish nothing but a speedy recovery to The Dead Man, who is arguably the greatest superstar in WWE history.

If he can get back to shape on time, then it is very likely that he can have the match with John Cena, which will very well be his swan song. It is highly possible that the match between the two icons of the wrestling business would even main event Wrestlemania 33, and there would be no better a send-off for the Dead Man who has not yet faced John Cena in the grandest stage of them all.
