What’s the story?
Earlier today, former WWE United States Champion Rusev took it to his official Twitter handle in order give his take on the recently concluded Greatest Royal Rumble event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The Bulgarian Brute also showed his gratitude towards the WWE Universe at the King Abdullah International Stadium.
In case you didn’t know…
At WWE’s first ever Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia, we witnessed the likes of John Cena and Triple H compete in singles matches on the evening.
And in addition, the WWE Universe also had the chance of getting a closer look at the living legend, The Undertaker, who competed in a Casket Match for the very first time in years against Rusev.
As noted, Rusev eventually came out on the losing side in the evening, despite a resilient effort against The Deadman in Saudi Arabia.
The heart of the matter
Following his disappointing loss to The Undertaker at The Greatest Royal Rumble, Rusev tweeted out a heartfelt message for all his fans, claiming the fact that Saudi Arabia still celebrates Rusev Day.
In addition, the former two-time US Champion noted that Casket Matches aren’t really his thing and regardless of the outcome of his match against The Undertaker, The Bulgarian Brute has nothing but respect for the certified legend, that is, The Deadman.
Rusev will now look to shift his focus towards Smackdown Live and look to reignite a new rivalry on the blue brand and following the conclusion of the 2018 Superstar Shake-up, Rusev has plenty of options to for his next big feud in the WWE.
Rusev’s match against The Undertaker will definitely go down as one of the biggest highlights of his career because it's not every day when one the privilege of sharing the ring with The Undertaker.
