WWE.com confirmed the release of the following superstars....
“WWE has come to terms on the release of the following Superstars as of today, June 12, 2014:
- JTG
- Marc Harris (referee)
- Drew McIntyre
- Jinder Mahal
- Aksana
- Curt Hawkins
- Theodore Long
- Camacho
- Brodus Clay
- Evan Bourne
- Yoshi Tatsu
WWE wishes them the best in all their future endeavors.”
A lot of these releases wouldnt come as a surprise but many including McIntyre and Aksana who both posses a lot of talent and who have been getting consistent tv time would presumably still have something to offer. Other superstars like Evan Bourne and Brodus Clay who have had much less tv time, especially Bourne, would also still have something to offer the company. Many of these performers could be used to boost the tag team devision which has shown some promise but is still struggling. Regardless, this is a fairly large cut by WWE, and one can only assume that others like Slater, Ryder, Gabriel, Young may have been lucky and could very well still be on thin ice. Only time will tell.
