Should the WWE introduce the Women's Tag Titles?

The women's roster has enough and more Superstars to form a tag division

With the current trajectory of the Women's Revolution, the only place I see them going is up. Couple that with MMA fighters recently signing with WWE, and the show GLOW on Netflix, we are now a totally different collective audience from 10-20 years ago.

Tag Team Championships would be one thing the WWE hasn't made history with yet (to my knowledge) and within the year would be a perfect opportunity unveil them. With so much attention now on the Women's Revolution, it's probably safe to say that this idea isn't that far out.

But how would it work?

If there were two sets of championships for each main show, there wouldn't be enough of a tag roster to keep an interest in a women's tag division. Then again, we know how WWE is, and can make two teams drag on for months.

And then there's the other option

It's a popular concept, with the Mae Young Classic, the Cruiserweight Classic, and the WWE UK Championship Tournament. The WWE Network would be the perfect platform for a WWE Women's Tag Team Championship tournament, because there ARE enough active women on RAW, SD Live, and NXT for that to go smoothly.

There are currently 8 pairs of women that are already established as a team, and I'll list two other sets to accompany them that could work.

Active

-- The Iconic Duo: Peyton Royce & Billie Kay

-- Riott Squad: Sarah Logan & Liv Morgan

-- Sonya Deville & Mandy Rose

-- Charlotte & Becky Lynch

-- Nikki Bella & Brie Bella: The Bella Twins

-- Alexa Bliss & Nia Jax

-- Bayley & Sasha Banks

-- Lana & Tamina

Potential Pairings

-- Ember Moon & Naomi

-- Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler

Do they defend them?

How would that work? Surely they couldn't do it monthly due to the schedules of the three brands. My best guess is if they went the route of a tournament, it would be an annual event, much like the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic seems to be in NXT.

Above all else, a set of Women's Tag Team titles would just add another concept to the Women's Revolution which is what the WWE appears to have its sights set on with the recent influx of history-making matches.
