What's the latest with Rosemary's supposed knee injury?

What's the story?

Various reports had recently emerged about Impact Wrestling superstar Rosemary sustaining an injury during an independent wrestling appearance. I decided to verify her injury status by putting the question to Impact Wrestling's own Josh Mathews.

I also asked him about Impact Wrestling coming to India for yet another round of tapings. Both answers have been transcribed, two sections below.

In case you didn't know...

Josh Mathews dons many hats for Impact Wrestling. In addition to being the lead play-by-play announcer, he's also a key backstage figure.

Of course, longtime wrestling fans may remember Mathews from his stint in WWE, where he was not just an announcer and backstage interviewer, but also part of several storylines.

As for Rosemary, reports emerged that she sustained a major knee injury, had to roll out in the middle of her match, and returned for a quick finish.

The heart of the matter

Mathews joined us at the start of the weekly Impact Wrestling teleconference, where he addressed a handful of questions such as Impact Wrestling coming to the UK. I asked him if there were plans of coming to India:

Again with the India stuff, I know that Ed Nordholm, our President went over to India with Sonjay. So same as the UK, I hope that it leads to us going over soon.

I asked him about Rosemary's status, and he had this to say:

Rosemary, I think she may have tweaked her knee. I don't think it's anything too, too serious about her injury. I spoke to her a couple of times. I was told from talent relations that she was a little banged up at an indy show but I don't think it's anything. And again, I don't know for a fact but hopefully it is nothing that will change any plans for when we all together again in April for Redemption.

What's next?

Josh Mathews will continue to join us for weekly teleconferences addressing the business side of Impact Wrestling. Every time there's an update, you'll be sure to hear it. Stay tuned to this site if you're a professional wrestling fan.

Author's take

Rosemary is one of the most entertaining characters on Impact Wrestling. It was unfortunate that she did not get to wrestle Taya Valkyrie at Bound for Glory, in a match that had everyone excited.

I do hope she's back on her feet in time for the next Impact Wrestling pay-per-view.
