Why did Kevin Owens go home?
Why did Kevin Owens go home?

What's the story?

SmackDown's recent tour of Argentina experiences a couple surprising departures. AJ Styles was sent home and it was reported he wasn't feeling well. But it could be so The Phenomenal One can face Finn Balor at TLC.

But Kevin Owens' exit from the tour for "personal reasons" made some people wonder if he pulled a Neville and walked out while others were wondering if he was sick as well. Thanks to our sources close to the situation, we can confirm that Kevin Owens did not "walk-out" and he's still healthy.

In case you didn't know

Kevin Owens is dedicated WWE Superstar and an even bigger family man. His family is first in his life and he'd do anything to be with them no matter how far away he happened to be.

Heart of the matter

WWE's SmackDown Live brand was on the road in Argentina when Kevin Owens was pulled from the tour and sent home. WWE sent out an announcement concerning the event which said:

“Kevin Owens left Buenos Aires today and will not appear at the remaining Live Events in Argentina and Chile this weekend, WWE.com has learned. Though Owens did perform at Luna Park for Thursday night’s Live Event in Buenos Aires, he has left before the remaining Live Event dates scheduled in Argentina for tonight, and at the Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile, this Friday and Saturday, due to personal reasons.”

Our sources have confirmed Kevin Owens did fly home but he is not sick. He had a "family situation" and it took precedence over the tour schedule. It is well-known that Kevin Owens' family is first and mean everything to him.

Things are okay between Kevin Owens and WWE. Everything was approved by WWE officials and this situation was "absolutely unavoidable." Kevin Owens is still "100% dedicated" to WWE, who understand that family comes first.

What's next

Kevin Owens is still with WWE and on his way to becoming one of the greatest Superstars of all time. He just had something he needed to deal with. We can expect to see him on next week's SmackDown LIVE alongside his 'best friend' Sami Zayn.

Author's take

It's great to know Kevin Owens and WWE are still fine. We're wishing Kevin Owens the best in this situation and hope everything works out for him.
