What’s the story?

WWE Hall Of Famer Sting hasn't been seen in the ring since he took a couple bad buckle bombs from Seth Rollins at Night Of Champions in 2015.

In fact, that event was the last Night Of Champions show WWE has produced to this day.

But Sting might very well be dusting off his baseball bat as he takes a new exciting role with a Canadian indie wrestling promotion.

Bytown Championship Wrestling is kicking things off in a big way with a huge show comprised of some of the top talents they could get ahold of. This, of course, includes the legend known as Sting and he will be acting as the promotion's General Manager.

The heart of the matter

Not only is Sting coming in as General Manager, but plenty of other famous faces are slated to be on the card as well.

Bytown Championship Wrestling has been able to secure an amazing roster comprised of some of the world's best independent talent.

The details

ROH Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks have become the latest people to join Bytown Championship Wrestling's inaugural show. Nick and Matt Jackson could be the hottest act in pro wrestling with an international merchandise deal at Hot Topic and their stars in the world of pro wrestling seem to shine brighter after every match they work.

But the Young Bucks aren't the only huge names appearing on the show either. BCW's first event promises to be a star studded night of wrestling.

The names confirmed for the show so far are: Rob Van Dam, John Hennigan (fka John Morrison), Stephan Bonnar, Chris Adonis (fka Chris Masters), Trevor Lee, Brian Cage, Tyson Dux, Riot Makers, Team Omega, Jeff Cannonball, James Storm, Shane Strickland, Joey Janela, and of course The Young Bucks.

But don't forget Sting will also be holding it all down as GM.

How You Can Join In

The inaugural BCW event takes place September 17, 2017 at Robert Guertin Centre in Gatineau Quebec, Canada. Tickets can be purchased at www.bruha.com/

But if you're not in the Quebec area and would still like to get in on the fun, Bytown Championship Wrestling has signed on to have the event streamed live on Powerbomb.tv.

Fans can use the code "Bytown" when signing up to not only get the BCW event but also have access to watch other great content.

Author’s take

If you're a fan of indie wrestling then this event will be for you. On the other hand, if you're not a huge fan of indie wrestling this kind of event very well might open the door for a brand new fandom.

With names like Sting, Rob Van Dam, John Morrison, and The Young Bucks confirmed for this show it looks like there are be plenty of reasons for any pro wrestling fan to tune into this one.
