The WWE didn't exactly have an exciting episode of SmackDown Live in store for us on Tuesday night, but there was still no respite for the professional wrestling rumor mill. Here is Sportskeeda's daily rumor round-up:

#1 Big plans for The Undertaker were canceled at the last minute

This is most unfortunate

According to a report from The Dirty Sheets, The Undertaker was initially supposed to portray a mix between "The Deadman" and "The American Badass" at WrestleMania.

The Phenom was supposed to reveal the colours of the Amercian flag in the lining of his jacket after initially coming out to the sound of the gong. This would've then prompted Kid Rock to come out and play the "American Badass" theme.

However, these plans were shelved after WWE received complaints about the political comments that Kid Rock made during his Hall of Speech.

#2 Tag-Team Money in the Bank match may not happen

On a recent episode of PWInsider Elite Audio, Mike Johnson stated that he hadn't been intimated about a Tag-Team Money in the Bank match. However, since the pay-per-view is 6 weeks away, there is still plenty of time for WWE to have a change of heart.

#3 Booker T could replace Jonathan Coachman on commentary next week

#4 WWE's original plans for AJ Styles

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE initially had AJ Styles penciled in as an upper mid-carder when the former Bullet Club member initially signed with the company.

However, Vince McMahon eventually made Styles the anchor of SmackDown Live as he was so impressed with the former Impact Wrestling standout's work and popularity with the fans. (H/T: Ringside News)

“The only reason AJ Styles got the push that he did was because the crowd reacted to him. He was not geared towards doing anything this big. That was never the plan when they got him. It wasn’t like to bury him but the idea of him being a world champion that was certainly not in the plans. But the crowd went for him really big.”

#5 Xavier Woods suffered a nasty injury on SmackDown Live

This was nasty!

On the most recent episode of SmackDown Live, Cesaro intercepted an airborne Xavier Woods with an uppercut, causing the Georgia native to bite down on his own tongue. The aftermath wasn't particularly pretty as Woods was left bleeding from his mouth.

Fortunately, it doesn't appear that the former Tag Team Champion will be sidelined for any amount of time.
