Did he just say nice things about Jason Jordan?
For the duration that Booker T was behind the commentary desk, he was always ripping on Kurt Angle's son- Jason Jordan. Now that he's no longer in character, he actually said he's disappointed that Jordan will miss his WrestleMania moment, due to an injury.

This is what Booker T said on the Sam Roberts Wrestling Podcast, about the current crop of WWE talent and the future:
I praise guys like Elias, going out there doing their thing, Jason Jordan, right now, man, I'm sick about Jason Jordan being on the shelf; I wanted to see him go out and have his WrestleMania moment. Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, rising from the ashes of what he was doing, the independent scene for 15 years—the Finn Balors of the world that I've seen do remarkable, spectacular things. With Neville many, many years ago…I'm very optimistic, man
It's clear that he will continue to be an advocate for WWE even though he's no longer there in a weekly role. Long live King Booker!
