#2 Completely disrespected and buried
As mentioned earlier, Kofi Kingston’s reign was getting stale and something needed changing. He had been a decent champion for over 6 months, and it was perhaps the best decision to take the title off him.
However let’s not forget that he is the WWE Champion. Holding that title means that he is at the top of the food chain. However, by having him lose to Brock Lesnar in under 10 seconds, they have buried him to the point from which he may never return.
While Kingston did claim that he wasn’t done with The Beast following his match, it is unlikely for him to get another shot at the title because of the way he lost. Prior to winning the title, he was being used a mid-card talent, and the way he lost to Lesnar pushes him straight back to that scene once again.
In future storylines, Kingston could now be taunted as the guy who lost the biggest title WWE has to offer in under 10 seconds, which is perhaps why he is not going to be in the main event scene for a long time to come – if not ever.
