Tommaso Ciampa's words on Wednesday are certainly telling, because with Gargano descending further into madness and Black still on the shelf, he has no clear contender for his title. Velveteen Dream appears the likeliest candidate, but none of this was enough to change the standings this week.

In the mid-card, Ricochet will take on Pete Dunne in a champion vs. champion match next week. It will certainly end in a no contest, but it should give us the first concrete hints of what will transpire in the mid-card at TakeOver: War Games II.
