WWE News: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin confirms injury prior to WrestleMania 32

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin takes to the mike in the ring

Not too many things phase “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, but unfortunately injury is something that does, with the wrestler confessing that he picked up a torn rotator cuff before his scheduled appearance at WrestleMania 32 – reports wrestlinginc.com.

Speaking of the injury, Austin said: "The hardest thing for me was, I went into that event with a torn rotator cuff. I tore it pretty good trying to train too heavy and I figured I'd be able to work around it. What I didn't factor in was the fact that I was going to need a few working punches to get into a position to throw the Stunners that they wanted me to throw.”

The legendary wrestler also stated that at first the injury didn’t phase him while he was fending off Rusev and drinking his trademark beers on stage due to adrenaline, but later, backstage, everything went south and the injury began to make its presence felt, with the wrestler lamenting that he couldn’t even drink a beer and went into the ring with a handicap.

However, despite his predicament, Stone Cold – who is considered as one of the forces that truly established WWE on the map – had an enjoyable time at WrestleMania.
