#1 Made the Money in the Bank cash-in all about the Universal Championship

The Money in the Bank contract allows the winner to challenge either top champion of Raw or SmackDown anytime, anywhere, once and is valid for a period of one year.

This is the power that any superstar who holds the Money in the Bank briefcase gets, and therefore the holder becomes one of the most feared superstars in the locker room. Things have gotten even more fearsome as the briefcase is currently held by ‘The Beast’ Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar lost his Universal Championship to Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 35, but he now has a great chance of taking away the championship from The Beast Slayer and putting it around his own waist again whenever he pleases.

With that said, it’s sad to see how the creatives have focused the Money in the Bank contract drama on the Universal Championship since the past couple of weeks.

Lesnar has the option of challenging either the WWE Champion or the Universal Champion, but he is focused on one man. This has also led to Lesnar only appearing on Raw to threaten a cash-in and just kept Kofi in the loop on the show without him facing any real threat.

This week on Raw, Lesnar attacked Rollins and left him completely broken but The Beast did not cash in his contract. He was heard saying he’d do it this Friday, making the entire matter about the Universal Championship as that means the WWE Champion is safe from The Beast’s wrath. WWE could have used this oppurtunity to keep the fans guessing instead.
