Superstars who are undefeated at SummerSlam

Seth Rollins is one of the few who hold an unbeaten record at SummerSlam.

We are reaching the eleventh hour and the stage is nearly set for the 2016 WWE SummerSlam!

SummerSlam is one of the biggest events of the year, dubbed the "Summer’s Biggest Party," it is one of the WWE's "Big Four”. The Big Four consists of Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble, Survivor Series and of course, SummerSlam.

SummerSlam is a stage second only to Wrestlemania. Careers are made, dreams are shattered and legacies are forged into the history books forever. It is truly one of the most exciting weekends of the year for wrestling fans, no matter where you are.

SummerSlam was officially born nearly 30 years ago, in 1988. Since that time, many superstars have graced the SummerSlam stage and a lot has changed. There has been quite a few superstars who just haven't had very good luck at SummerSlam. However, there's been a select few, who have shined during this event, so much so that they simply cannot be beaten at SummerSlam.

Here's to the ones who possess an undefeated record at the big summer event.

#1 Roman Reigns

Reigns is off to a good start, with a 2-0 SummerSlam record.

Roman hasn't been around long enough to stack up a laundry list of SummerSlam wins just yet, but he's off to a good start at 2-0.

2014: In his first SummerSlam, Roman Reigns defeated Randy Orton in singles competition.

2015: Reigns teamed up with his former Shield teammate, Dean Ambrose in 2015 to defeat Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper of The Wyatt Family.

#2 Seth Rollins

In 2015, Rollins took down Cena to claim both the U.S. and WWE titles.

Just like Reigns, Seth Rollins hasn't exactly earned veteran status just yet, as far as wins at SummerSlam are concerned anyhow. He too comes in at 2 wins and no losses.

2014: Rollins defeated Dean Ambrose in a Lumberjack Match.

2015: In 2015, Seth defeated John Cena to become both the United States Champion, as well as the WWE Champion.

#3 JOHN MORRISON

Morrison holds an impressive 3-0 record at SummerSlam.

Some might be surprised to see this name mentioned in this particular list. However, John Morrison did pretty well at SummerSlam, during his WWE tenure, coming in with a record of 3 wins and no losses.

2007: John Morrison defeated CM Punk to retain his ECW title.

2010: In 2010, Morrison was a member of Team WWE as they took down the Nexus.

2011: In his final SummerSlam contest, John teamed up with Rey Mysterio and Kofi Kingston to defeat The Miz, R-Truth and Alberto Del Rio in six-man tag team action.

#4 THE ROAD WARRIORS (L.O.D.)

Line them up and Hawk & Animal would knock them down!

They are arguably the greatest tag team in the history of professional wrestling and they are also undefeated at SummerSlam. Hawk and Animal boast an undefeated record of 3-0.

1991: The Road Warriors defeated The Nasty Boys in 1991 to claim the WWF Tag Team Championship Showdown.

1992: This year, Hawk and Animal took care of business against Money Inc. (I.R.S. & Ted DiBiase)

1997: The Road Warriors defeated the hog farmers from Arkansas, The Godwinns.

#5 Hulk Hogan

Not even mentioned by many, Hogan boasts a 6-0 SummerSlam record.

There are some who have essentially completely removed all mentions of Hulk Hogan from all of the record books. This is one writer who will always remember the contributions made by The Immortal One. In fact, it's shameful to attempt to erase all of what this man has done. So, coming in with an unblemished record of 6-0, here's Hulk Hogan.

1988: In the inaugural SummerSlam, Hulk Hogan teamed with Randy Savage to defeat Andre The Giant and Ted DiBiase.

1989: Hogan teamed with Brutus the Barber Beefcake to defeat Randy Savage and Zeus.

1990: Hulk Hogan defeated Earthquake via count-out.

1991: Hogan teamed up with The Ultimate Warrior as they defeated Sgt. Slaughter, Col. Mustafa and Gen. Adnan in a handicap match.

2005: Despite the controversy, the bottom line is Hulk Hogan defeated Shawn Michaels.

2006: Hulkamania ran wild all over the Legend Killer, Randy Orton.

#6 Ultimate Warrior

Warrior defeated Rude in consecutive years at SummerSlam.

Some are calling Warrior "Mr. SummerSlam," due to his undefeated record of five wins and zero losses. Let's take a look at who the WWE Hall of Famer beat at SummerSlam.

1988: Honky Tonk Man was looking for an opponent, due to Beefcake not being able to compete this night. Unfortunately for The defending Intercontinental Champion, The Ultimate Warrior was ready and in exactly 31 seconds, we had a brand new Intercontinental Champion, The Ultimate Warrior.

1989: Warrior defeated Rick Rude to capture the Intercontinental Title.

1990: In a 1989 rematch, this time in a cage, Warrior defeated Rick Rude to retain the Intercontinental Title.

1991: Warrior teamed with Hogan to defeat Slaughter, Mustafa and Adnan in six-man tag action.
