#1 Roman Reigns

There are countless reasons why WWE needs to give up on Roman Reigns, but let's focus on the two most crucial ones.
The first one is the fact that WWE tried to push Reigns way too early, which resulted in fans not getting behind him organically. The second problem with Reigns is that he isn't that great on the microphone, which is a key ability for anyone wanting to be the top guy.

While Reigns has arguably gotten a lot better, especially after his reunion with The Shield late last year, he still failed to recapture The Universal Title at WrestleMania 34 and failed to win in his follow up match against Lesnar.
Reigns then found himself in a match with Samoa Joe at Backlash, which was critically panned and caused fans to get up and leave the arena.
With all that being said, it should come as no surprise that WWE needs to pump the breaks once again on Reigns as their top guy and give someone else the chance to shine in the spotlight.
Not only would it give the company time to repackage Reigns in a way that fans might like, it also allows them to create a new star in the meantime.
