Believe it or not, WWE actually succeeded in ruining Baley. While The Hugger did start out promising enough by winning The Women's title in less than a year and defeating Charlotte, Jax and Sasha Banks to do so, she quickly lost the title to Alexa Bliss in the superstar shake up and things only went downhill from there.
Fast forward a year and Bayley is being counseled by Dr Shelby in backstage segments to repair her relationship with longtime friend, Sasha Banks. Not only is that a huge waste of time for both Banks and Bayley, it also shows exactly where both superstars stand in the company's pecking order.
In the end, WWE could quickly remedy this problem by making Bayley more aggressive or even showing a more diverse personality with her character, but WWE doesn't seem to want to invest the time in doing so and risk losing merchandise sales in the process. Unfortunately for Bayley, it looks like that means her downward spiral will continue.
