Roman Reigns last held a title in January this year before losing it to Chris Jericho. He is one of the premier superstars in the company, and his absence from the title picture for a long duration is not the best decision by WWE.

So, having Reigns in a secondary title feud with a brilliant superstar in the form of Miz will help him and the IC title as a whole. Reigns could use an IC title reign to try and establish himself over with the fans.
