The Rock made his presence felt over the weekend, closing out WWE Bad Blood. From his reaction, he has a score to settle with his cousin Roman Reigns and the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. As things stand, it seems like The American Nightmare will take precedence, and The Final Boss' first move could be to ensure the former's defeat at Crown Jewel. The best part is that he might do it without even attending the PLE.
Considering his position on the TKO board of directors, The Rock can simply pay off the referees or just order them. Using and abusing his power, the 52-year-old could ensure Cody Rhodes' downfall at Crown Jewel. An action that will surely infuriate the WWE Universe.
To paint the picture, Cody Rhodes may find himself in a tough spot during his match against Gunther. After all, in addition to facing The Ring General, he has to deal with a corrupted referee who The Rock has bought off. This all leads to a spot in the match where the World Heavyweight Champion has the Undisputed WWE Champion in a chokehold. But, before Rhodes can tap out or fade out, the referee rings the bell, handing Gunther the victory.
WWE has found its new Undertaker? WWE Hall of Famer thinks so!
In other words, this will be Rhodes' very own "Montreal Screwjob." That being said, this is nothing more than speculation. There is no telling what will go down in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The Rock may be working with Solo Sikoa as the true leader of The Bloodline
While The Rock's plans for Cody Rhodes may not be known, he does have plans with The Bloodline. The highlight of the night, The Final Boss' return at Bad Blood was unexpected, leading many to believe that there is no connection between him and Sikoa's Bloodline. However, The Street Champion himself gave the WWE Universe a spoiler following the event.
Escaping the ring through the crowd, Solo Sikoa and his Bloodline could only look on as The Great One entered the arena, shocking everyone. However, in a moment that was caught on camera, Sikoa can be seen turning to a fan and claiming that this was all "part of the plan". This has many wondering if The Rock is the real mastermind behind all that has unfolded since WrestleMania 40.
It certainly would be quite the twist, and would set things up perfectly for Survivor Series: WarGames. But, as of right now, we will just have to wait and see what happens in the coming weeks.
