The Rock injured after Shield attack on RAW

The Shield attacked The Rock this week on RAW after his excellent promo which surprised several fans. After their merciless bashing The Rock started bleeding from his mouth which many at that moment thought was due to a busted lip or a cut inside his mouth. But after the show Rock tweeted the following update on his injuries.

This in no way affects the match between The Rock and CM Punk as the injury doesn’t look very serious. However, this unprecedented attack on The Rock by Shield has forced Vince McMahon to take a few important decisions.

An article in WWE.com mentions Vince McMahon warning CM Punk and possibly the Shield of any interference in the Rumble match. If The Shield interferes on Royal Rumble in favour of CM Punk then Punk will stripped of his title. This makes the bout all the more interesting putting into question CM Punk’s ability to retain the title after a 400+ days’ reign.

It also brings into doubt as to whether the injury of The Rock is legit or was it done just to make the storyline interesting and personal. Irrespective of that, the situation is very nicely poised to give us a great match this Sunday at the Rumble.
