Ever since the trio's debut, the WWE Universe had a hard time booing them. The Shield was booked as a villainous stable, which feuded with Superstars like John Cena, Daniel Bryan, The Undertaker, CM Punk etc. However, as the year 2013 was approaching its end, it started looking like The Shield members were slowly transitioning into baby-faces. They acted as faces during their feud with The Wyatt Family in February 2014.

After being defeated by The Wyatt Family on 2 different occasions and betrayed by Seth Rollins, who temporarily quit the Stable due to being frustrated with Ambrose and Reigns' cold-war, The Shield sorted out their differences and re-aligned. The Shield completed their face turn on the March 17th, 2014 edition of Raw when they refused Corporate Kane's order to attack Jerry Lawler. The Shield instead attacked Kane and laid him out with a Triple Power-bomb.

About the author
Ali Siddiqui
Ali Siddiqui is a listicle and feature writer for Sportskeeda Wrestling since 2018. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, he decided to write for Sportskeeda Wrestling after learning about it through a friend. He briefly worked for The Sportster as well.
Ali's love for pro wrestling dates back to when Randy Orton won a Battle Royal to become the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam 2004. His current favorite wrestler is Cody Rhodes because he's the ultimate throwback babyface. He believes Rhodes has the Surfer Sting's passion, Bret Hart's prop-gifting schtick, a catchy theme like Hogan's, and a kid-friendly demeanor akin to John Cena's.
When he is not doing research for his articles on Google or catching up with the latest in pro wrestling, Ali can be found honing his Data Science and AI skills as he strives to get back into tech in the near future.
