The Undertaker opens up on his bond with Vince McMahon

WWE legend The Undertaker, a.k.a. Mark Calaway, sat down with Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin on the premiere of "The Broken Skull Sessions" and discussed a variety of topics in regards to his illustrious career. Calaway opened up on his friendship with Vince McMahon and how it has grown over the years.

Mark Calaway used to wrestle in WCW as "Mean Mark" Callous, before making his way to WWE in 1990. The Undertaker character became a huge hit among the fans and the rest is history. He has been a WWE mainstay since then and is widely regarded as one of the greatest Superstars in the history of this business.

While talking about his dynamic with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, Calaway said that their friendship grew over the years because McMahon trusted him with The Undertaker character. He added that the gimmick was originally Vince's idea, but the boss gave him a lot of creative freedom with it and trusted him when he felt that he needed to make the transition to the American Bada** gimmick. He also talked about being grateful to Vince for giving him an opportunity in WWE.

If we butt heads or we don’t agree, which is gonna happen, it’s a creative business. We’re not gonna always see eye to eye. You and I may not have the same vision on a finish but we’ll get there.

There's no telling where I would have been if he hadn’t given me the chance. I just never forgot that.
