This Week in WWE: 5 questions on everyone's mind

Why are they together?
Why are they together?

Another set of Raw and Smackdown tapings came to an end last night. RAW continued its slow and steady build to TLC, while Smackdown tried to produce a fine go-home show ahead of Hell in a Cell.

Both shows were average at best, with interesting segments and matches standing out. The decision made by WWE to host this week's shows in Denver also paid off as the crowd played a great part in adding to the value of the shows.

Heading into Hell in a Cell PPV, the WWE Universe still has certain things to ponder about. We look at five unanswered questions which are on everyone's mind.

#5 What next for The Monster Among Men?

The Monster is directionless right now
The Monster is directionless right now

Braun Strowman lost to Brock Lesnar in unconvincing fashion at WWE No Mercy. Hyped by WWE as a 'Wrestlemania-calibre' match, the match-up failed to live up to the expectations of many. Strowman facing a clean loss against "The Beast" disappointed fans.

In the follow-up to that match, Braun Strowman has yet to initiate a feud with any superstar on RAW currently. He has defeated the tag champs, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in successive weeks, but his future still looks unclear.

With only two RAW tapings left before the PPV, WWE should have something big planned for the Monster, one of the biggest (no pun intended) Superstars they currently have on the roster.

#4 What happens to the "Underdog from the Underground"?

Give him a chance!
Give him a chance!

Sami Zayn is one of the biggest natural babyfaces WWE have on the main roster. He has consistently given exceptional performances and evokes a huge reaction from the WWE Universe each time he steps in the ring. But, the current booking of Sami Zayn has frustrated fans and they are losing any hope of seeing Zayn rise to the top in WWE anytime soon.

His move to SDL was viewed as a major turning point in his career, but since then, he has been stuck in pointless feuds with Superstars in the lower card. Right now, he is playing a small part in the Owens-Shane rivalry, and looks set to miss a second PPV in a row.

WWE are currently dropping the ball with this huge talent and fans are wondering if Sami will ever get to the position he deserves in WWE.

#3 Where is the Universal Champion?

Balor and Reigns want a shot at Lesnar. But where is he?
Balor and Reigns want a shot at Lesnar. But where is he?

Brock Lesnar, the current Universal Champion, missed this week's RAW and is most likely going to be kept off television until after TLC. He is the current top champion of the brand and is conspicuous by his absence from weekly WWE programming.

WWE could have utilised "The Beast" by having him work a TLC match at the PPV. An all-out brawl is the kind of match Lesnar has excelled in recent times, and another destructive performance at the PPV would have done a world of good for WWE.

Lesnar is not advertised for any upcoming RAWs and this decision is sure to make fans pretty disappointed. Not having the top champion of your brand on television is not a wise decision by the WWE officials.

#2 Is Sister Abigail coming to WWE?

Sistel Abigail is alive!? What?
Sister Abigail is alive! What?

Bray Wyatt gave a spooky promo this past Monday on RAW and his creepy laugh mixed with a woman's laughter has got the WWE Universe wondering. Wyatt has talked a lot about Sister Abigail for years now and WWE has never given a real explanation to the real backstory of this mystical figure.

His rivalry with Randy Orton earlier this year, featured haunting segments where Wyatt talked about the spirit of Sister Abigail. Orton burned the 'ashes' of Sister Abigail, thus confirming that Sister Abigail is no longer alive.

WWE has a tendency to forget continuity a lot of times, so bringing a new Superstar in the form of Sister Abigail could not be a surprising move. A new Superstar coming to the aid of Wyatt can help freshen up his character and also provide a new dynamic to his ongoing feud.

#1 When will the Shield finally reunite?

Are they returning?
Are they returning?

The most discussed topic from this week's RAW was the segment featuring Reigns, Rollins and Ambrose, all together, gearing up to fight as brothers once again. Though WWE has not provided any official confirmation of the reunion, expect the big event to take place sooner rather than later.

Fans are in anticipation to see the "Hounds of Justice" get together once again and run amok through the WWE roster. Next week, RAW will be held in Indianapolis, the same place where The Shield first debuted and also the location where Seth Rollins put a chair through Roman Reigns' back.

The WWE Universe is excited and geared up to see them unite once again. Many fans are still wondering if this reunion is going to be a one-time thing or a permanent feature. Whatever the answer is, WWE has played its cards perfectly on this one!
