TNA still targetting Goldberg for Pop TV debut

The Goldberg – TNA deal may still happen

While it’s been reported in the past about TNA’s interest in having former WCW champion Bill Goldberg come in and feud with Bram, the talks indicated that Goldberg’s asking price was what was responsible for the deal to not have happened.

Bram, who is currently a full-time TNA talent, has been working with Goldberg on a movie. This was the reason why TNA wanted to go for a feud between the two stars if Goldberg agreed to come in.

However, the reports cite that Goldberg, who has always quoted his price very high, was asking for unrealistic amounts of money. However, the latest rumours indicate that TNA and Goldberg haven’t completely stopped talking to each other and the TNA authorities want the star to really appear for the Pop TV debut in January.

The hope among the TNA officials is that Goldberg is open to talk on the price and is willing to sign with TNA for lesser money.

The former WCW franchise player hasn’t been seen in a major wrestling promotion, since his contract with WWE ended in 2004. Since then, he has branched out to different avenues including commentating for a now-defunct MMA promotion, acting in movies, hosting TV shows and even serving as an ambassador for Glory kickboxing.
