Tony Khan was interviewed on Wrestling Inc's WINCLY Podcast and talked about AEW Dynamite's upcoming Bash at the Beach episode and the TNT ratings. The most obvious question was the fact that CM Punk tagged both Vince McMahon and Tony Khan in the same Tweet by saying "no one was safe."

Khan still doesn't know why CM Punk tagged him in the post. On the same note, he did say that he is constantly asked about Punk in interviews.

Moreover, he believes that Punk cannot talk about wrestling without bringing up AEW. He further said,

"You know what's funny, is that, I never once brought his name up, to bring it into the conversation, but as you know, you're always at the scrum and seen interviews done with me, whenever I get asked the question, I try to be good about answering questions when people travel to go to the scrum and stuff and I have always made it really clear that I had conversations with him but never tried to lead anybody on that he would do anything with us or whatever and I haven't talked to him in a long time but I wish him the best.
"I'm not sure why he tagged me, but if you're talking about wrestling, I think it would be hard to talk about all the great things happening in wrestling without talking about what we're doing in AEW."

On one hand, it could be logical that CM Punk is trying to garner interest in the show by hinting that he may talk about promotions outside of WWE. Tony Khan also seems to believe that and he even cleared up the fact that he hasn't spoken to Punk in a long time. It'll be interesting to see what Punk is going to say on WWE Backstage.
