The rivalry between Bate and Dunne began prior to the finals of January's WWE United Kingdom Championship tournament. Dunne attacked Bate and left his status for the finals in doubt, but the then-19-year-old showed great resiliency in fighting through the pain to become the first UK titleholder in WWE history.

From the in-ring psychology to the properly placed spots, these two British wrestlers put on a performance for the ages. They had the crowd standing on its feet, doing duelling chants for these Superstars as everyone stayed invested in the action. For nearly 20 minutes, Dunne and Bate rocked the house.
