#1 WrestleMania 31: Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar (c) for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
This match was doomed to fail. Fans had turned their back on Reigns after his win at the Royal Rumble, and Lesnar was set to leave WWE - hence many fans were expecting Reigns' coronation as WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
However, just a few days before WrestleMania, Lesnar re-signed a new contract with WWE. Lesnar's re-signing added a twist in this rivalry, and the outcome had lost much of it's predictability.
Fans showered Reigns with boos at WrestleMania, and cheered on The Beast. The two titans told a great story and silenced all their doubters. Reigns took a great beating at the hands of Lesnar, Lesnar mercilessly mauled The Big Dog in a heinous assault.
It was a complete squash match until Lesnar was sent head first into a steel post at ringside by Reigns. Lesnar was bleeding profusely, Reigns took advantage of the ailing Beast and blasted him with 3 Superman Punches and 2 Spears.
When Reigns went for the third Spear, Lesnar countered with an F5. Just as it looked like the match could go anywhere, Seth Rollins stormed into the ring with his MITB briefcase. He Curb Stomped Reigns to win the WWE Title - pulling off the heist of the century.
