The first-ever women's Royal Rumble match was the key attraction of this year's Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Asuka and Shinsuke Nakamura were the winners of this year's Royal Rumble matches and the show was also notable for the surprise debut of Ronda Rousey in WWE.
The night was highlighted by some of the stars of yesteryear like Trish Stratus, Lita, Kelly Kelly, while the match will also be remembered for Sasha Banks's performance as she survived for more than 54 minutes in the Royal Rumble match.
