In 2016, with the WWE Cruiserweight Classic, Cedric Alexander won over the Full Sail Crowd, drawing chants of "Please sign Cedric", and in the Mae Young Classic 2, it was Mia Yim to receive that treatment.

Yim put on an incredible run, showing off just how much she has improved on the independent scene over the past few years, but ultimately fell short to tournament winner Toni Storm, however making a huge name for herself.
Since joining NXT following that great run, Yim has been doing well but hasn't yet been pushed into a proper story, and after Bianca Belair had a run at NXT Takeover Phoenix, it's easy to see them now getting behind Yim.
The Blasian Baddie can do it all inside the squared circle, and is tough as nails, so she's the perfect opponent for Baszler, and would get a tremendous pop if the company can build her properly.
