WrestleMania isn’t called the ‘grandest show of all’ for nothing. It is a moment in time where everything around wrestling becomes the grandeur that it essentially is. It is the biggest theatre in the world of wrestling where all the drama, all the ridiculousness, all the hype, all the storyline build up come together to give us something unforgettable.

It’s a celebration of all things wrestling. It’s a culmination of the year before it. Each year it tries to create history with its latest edition. And one of the most noticeable things about a show like this is the entrance of many superstars. Here are the top five grandest entrances of all time

5.Andre The Giant (WrestleMania 3)

A Giant Amongst Men

This may be nothing when compared to the times we live in now but at the time when WrestleMania 3 aired, this sight was something to behold. Andre The Giant is being carried to the ring on a cart accompanied by his manager Bobby Heenan. This made the already larger than life Andre exemplify his stature as being a giant amongst men.

If you were somewhere lost in the crowd and if you looked at the sky, it’ll be Andre that you see. He towered through the arena, to the ring and essentially made the main event something truly spectacular to begin with. This was grand for the time it happened. Since then, though, WWE’s moved a long way.

4.Triple H (WrestleMania 30)

Apart from The Undertaker, Triple H is the king of grand appearances at the greatest show of them all. His entrances impeccably showcase the grandeur of his character and the aura it has built in the world of wrestling. But probably, after watching all his entrances on a loop, the one at WrestleMania 30 really stands out.

With a theme song that sounded like an amalgamation of The Godfather meeting Game of Thrones, flanked by NXT women Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks and Charlotte and wearing an intricately royal robe and a crown only he can call his own, he unraveled himself from all that grandeur. The lights went off and the arena was lit with green laser light with the Motorhead theme playing and maybe the crowd instantly knew there was no better place than WrestleMania

3.HBK (WrestleMania 12)

The Showstopper knew a thing or two about stealing the show and hence, he has indisputably been given the moniker ‘Mr. Wrestlemania’. When there is talk of grand entrances you are bound to have this one somewhere on the list.

Not many at that time made the word grand mean grand. But this man did. He entered WrestleMania on a zip-line, perched in the highest of heights in the arena at WrestleMania 12. It hasn’t been repeated since and it won’t ever be repeated without the shadow of this one looming large on anyone whoever attempts it.

2.HBK (WrestleMania 25)

This match was everything that is great about wrestling. Shawn Michaels continued his quest to beating The Undertaker’s streak. This entrance is great precisely because of how it was executed and how intricately it fit the characters involved in the storyline.

Michaels is a born again Christian. His entrance from above to the ground, with his all white gear seemed to give a heavenly spectacle, a chilling contrast to that of The Undertaker’s entrance from down below the stage. Michaels’ slow descent accompanied by just a ray of light on the Titantron was a clear indication of this feud being a fight between heaven and hell. And when he finally hit the ground, his actual theme song hit the arena and we were all ready for the fight.

1.The Undertaker (WrestleMania 20)

It’s as if this event was tailor-made for this man. All of those events he’s been a part of you can encapsulate all of them with his various entrances and know why people buy tickets just to experience that one moment in time.

Of all the grandeur he’s bestowed upon the audience, his entrance at WrestleMania 20 stands out the most partly because it was elevated by the surprise return of Paul Bearer. The druids then chanted and enchanted the crowd walking ahead with all that fire, all that smoke and then the gong hits and The Phenom makes his quite surreal entrance through it all.
