Roman Reigns is the current face of the WWE despite being arguably the most polarising superstar in history. Reigns is the reigning WWE Universal Champion, and he is already one of the most accomplished superstars in history.

A Grand Slam Champion, Reigns, is a one-time WWE Universal Champion, three-time WWE World Champion, one-time United States Champion, one-time Intercontinental Champion, and one time WWE Tag Team Champion.

Reigns' career has been full of ups and downs due to the fact that the WWE fails to book him properly.

It does not help that the majority of fans still boo him out of the building, and The Shield cannot have a reunion every year just to make it go away. But at the age of just 33 years old, there are still a lot Roman Reigns moments that will happen in the future, and there are even more championships to win.

Nevertheless, here are the five greatest moments in the career of The Big Dog so far. It should be noted that the victory against John Cena is not included since they are surely going to face each other again in a WrestleMania match, wherein Cena can properly pass the torch to Reigns.

#5 The Hounds' arrival

The Shield made their debut at Survivor Series 2012
The Shield made their debut at Survivor Series 2012

A member of the famed Anoa'i family, Roman Reigns started his wrestling career in 2010 when he signed a developmental contract after a failed football career.

In just two years down at Florida Championship Wrestling and NXT, Reigns was called up to the main roster, and debuted at Survivor Series 2012 along with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. The trio called themselves The Shield, and they have gone on to become arguably the greatest stable in WWE history.

In their debut appearance, The Shield attacked Ryback during a Triple Threat match that also involved CM Punk and John Cena. They mauled Ryback like a pack of hounds, and put him through the announce table, using their famous Triple Powerbomb.

It was a great start to Reigns' career. The only downside of the debut is the awful turtlenecks The Shield wore, but it was a cool moment nonetheless.

#4 TLC beat-down

Roman Reigns attacks Triple H

In late 2015, the WWE was trying so hard to get Roman Reigns over as a sympathetic babyface. Reigns entered a program with Triple H, The Authority, and The League of Nations.

He eventually won the WWE World Championship for the first time ever at Survivor Series, but he immediately lost it to Sheamus, who cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase.

This led to a TLC Match at the TLC pay-per-view the next month where Reigns lost due to the interference of other League of Nations members. Reigns started beating down the League of Nations, as well as Triple H, who came out to calm him down. It was just a standard attack from Reigns, but the reason this made the list is the reaction of the crowd.

For the first time since being dubbed the next face of the WWE, the crowd was actually cheering Reigns for beating down Triple H, but in typical WWE fashion, they failed to capitalise on it, and Reigns still gets booed without The Shield.

#3 Rumble record breaker

Roman Reigns made his Royal Rumble debut in 2014 as the number 15 entrant. Reigns possibly had the greatest Rumble debut, and one of the best Rumble performances in WWE history.

He went on to break Kane's elimination record of 11 superstars by throwing out 12 in 2014. The 12 superstars he eliminated were Kofi Kingston, Goldust, Dolph Ziggler, Kevin Nash, The Great Khali, Sheamus, El Torito, Cesaro, Luke Harper, JBL, Dean Ambrose, and Seth Rollins.

Reigns was also one of the two final participants, but he ended up losing to Batista. It was a star making performance by Reigns, which might have contributed to the WWE's decision to push him as the next face of the company.

The crowd, which wanted Daniel Bryan all night long, cheered him even though he was a heel at that time, and Batista was supposed to be a face. The audience acknowledged his performance as one of the best in WWE history.

#2 Conquering The Beast

Defeating Lesnar might be Reigns' greatest achievement
Defeating Lesnar might be Reigns' greatest achievement

Brock Lesnar can be considered as the greatest rival of Roman Reigns, who has faced him on 4 separate occasions. The first one was at WrestleMania 31, wherein Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase.

The second was at WrestleMania 34, but Reigns lost after receiving six F-5s in a bloody match. The third one was at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia, in a Steel Cage match. Reigns speared Lesnar thru the cage, but he did not get the win. Technically, Lesnar got out of the cage first, so he was still the WWE Universal Champion.

Reigns had to earn one final shot at Lesnar, and he faced him for the fourth time at SummerSlam 2018. In a surprisingly quick match at just under seven minutes, Reigns hit Lesnar with a spear for the victory. Defeating Lesnar might be Reigns' greatest achievement, and one of the best moments of his career.

#1 This is my yard now

Reigns finally embraced the hate
Reigns finally embraced the hate

The biggest win in the career of Roman Reigns is the one against The Undertaker in the main event of WrestleMania 33, in a No Holds Barred match. It was not a really good match due to Reigns not being technically gifted, and The Undertaker's age. They told a nice story towards the end of the match, with Reigns putting a legend down for good.

Even though it was a monumental victory, the reaction Reigns got on Monday Night Raw the next night was even more amazing. Reigns finally embraced the hate as he got showered by boos from the crowd. After enduring more than ten minutes of heat, Reigns followed it up by uttering his most iconic words to date,

"This is my yard now"

The promo will surely stand the test of time as one of the greatest moments in the career of The Big Dog. However, it would have been more special if The Undertaker just stayed retired.
