Hogan vs Andre - WM III rematch

Hogan and Andre the Giant's match from WrestleMania 3 was the first time that Hogan had defeated Andre in one on one action. The story leading into it was how Hogan would overcome the Giant, and how he could possibly perform a Body Slam on the 520 lbs behemoth. Andre and Hogan had faced each other in the early 80s, during Hogan's first run with the promotion, but was never able to defeat Andre.

Hogan would famously defeat Andre after hitting him with a Body Slam and followed it up with his Atomic Leg Drop. The match was incredibly memorable and has gone down in history as one of the biggest matches and moments of WrestleMania. When Andre would defeat Hogan for the title, the match was just as big with Hogan having held the belt for 4 years prior to losing to Andre.

However, after Andre and Ted DiBiase were stripped of the title, the door opened for the creation of the WWF Championship Tournament, with Andre the Giant and Hulk Hogan getting first-round byes as the former champions, but would face each other in the Quarter-Finals as a tiebreaker third match of sorts.

Unfortunately, the fight didn't live up to the expectations, nor did it give a conclusive winner to the feud as both were disqualified for the use of a steel chair and neither of them would have the chance to win the belt. Hogan and Andre would face each other three more times, with Hogan winning all three albeit two by DQ to firmly tilt the ledger of their second feud in Hulk's favor.
