We have already established that this is nothing more than a nostalgia run, so what happens when the nostalgia wears off? The WWE has to be careful not to let the nostalgia of the Shield wear off. The Shield is a special entity in WWE, the combination of Ambrose, Rollins, and Reigns is always a crowd pleaser, a reliable pop that the WWE can keep in their back pockets and pull out whenever they need to.
After disposing of the Miz, his Miztourage, The Bar, and the Monster Among Men, what's left for the newly reunited Shield to do? With no other factions on Raw to wage war against, no evil authority figures to defy, and with Ambrose and Rollins already being the Tag Team Champions, what will keep these three former world champions from resuming their singles careers?
The best thing WWE can do right now, if there is no plan, is to come up with one. Once the current story runs it's course it would be better to disband the Shield while they are shining bright, and to risk that shine wearing off by rushing them into another hastily thrown together storyline. The Shield can agree to go their separate ways, but return when the WWE needs them again.
