Since beating Lyra Valkyria to win the NXT Women's Championship, Roxanne Perez has been on quite a run on the developmental brand. Until now, Roxanne defended her title on four occasions, and none of her opponents had what it took to beat the champion.
This led to many looking toward a top Japanese superstar confronting Perez on NXT Heatwave this week. The star in question is Giulia. Since signing with WWE, Giulia has yet to appear in the Stamford-based promotion, and many believe she will make her debut on Heatwave this week.
However, this potential debut seems unlikely at the moment. As per sources in NXT and Marigold, Giulia won't be present at NXT Heatwave this week. Also, she is scheduled for Marigold dates over the weekend. This means it's unlikely that she will confront Roxanne Perez at NXT Heatwave.

However, when Giulia does make her debut on the former black and gold brand, it will be interesting to see her go up against the NXT Women's Champion, Roxanne Perez. A match between Perez and Giulia for the title would indeed excite a lot of professional wrestling fans.
Roxanne Perez recently complained about a fellow NXT Superstar
On NXT's recent episode, Roxanne Perez was in a singles match against Karmen Petrovic. While the match went smoothly and Perez was able to win, Lola Vice, who was present in the commentary box, continuously trash-talked Perez and attacked her after the match ended.
To make things worse, Vice also walked away with Perez's title, after which she demanded that Ava Raine give her a shot at it. Raine obliged this request and booked a match between Roxanne Perez and Lola Vice at NXT Heatwave. On social media, Perez made sure to voice her displeasure about the same.
The NXT Women's Champion wrote:
"Lola should literally be suspended for what she did to me but she gets a title match???? I’m sick."
You can check out what Perez wrote about her upcoming match against Lola Vice at NXT Heatwave in the tweet below:
While Perez is clearly not happy with Raine's decision, she has no choice but to defend her title against Vice. At NXT Heatwave, it will be interesting to see if Perez is able to beat Vice. If yes, then it will also be interesting to see who she will feud with next on the former black and gold brand.
