Triple H has the opportunity to do the fuinniest thing ever and newly crowned champions in WWE won't like it

WWE Superstars Grayson Waller and Austin Theory may have dug themselves a huge hole when they blatantly disrespected Triple H on SmackDown last week.

Waller and Theory won the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania XL, which was later rebranded as the WWE Tag Team Championships last week. Triple H appeared on the blue brand to present the champions with their new gold when they chose to offend WWE's Chief Content Officer.

The Game offered to shake hands with the champions, but Grayson Waller had other ideas. After a momentary delay, he moved his hand forward and moved towards shaking Austin Theory's hand at the last minute, leaving the big boss hanging.

Although SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis quickly stepped in, Waller and Theory had already disrespected Triple H. The promotion's creative boss should now use his authority to make things difficult for the WWE Tag Team Champions to help add more excitement to their storyline.

Increasing the challenges for top heels on WWE SmackDown

Waller and Theory have been impressive on the blue brand since they formed an alliance. They have also aligned themselves with Logan Paul, often helping The United States Champion against top babyfaces on SmackDown. Triple H could use their past offenses as a reason to present them with bigger challenges than others on the brand.

From high-stake matches to unfavorable stipulations, the creative team can use several hilarious angles to frustrate the champions. They could be repeatedly put into positions where they talk themselves into trouble, being forced to defend their gold against increasingly threatening challenges.

Interesting element to the championship reign

This angle can be subtly used to add an interesting new element to a championship reign, drawing attention from fans. Grayson Waller and Austin Theory will repeatedly be forced to use creative heel maneuvers to navigate their way out of challenges.

Not only will it make their championship reign interesting, but it will also help elevate the tag team's gold. It would be a great way to keep them busy while the creative team builds an intense tag team division. Moreover, the champions' constant panic would account for an entertaining watch on SmackDown.

Set up a betrayal angle

WWE was hinting at potentially splitting up Grayson Waller and Austin Theory. Putting additional pressure on them would be a great way to facilitate the angle when it's booked. At some point, one of them will have had enough of the others' shenanigans, especially if it all leads to them losing the tag team championships.

This will be a creative way to keep Triple H involved in their storyline without The Game having to appear on television. Nick Aldis could do his job to keep the two superstars in check on SmackDown while the story establishes that The Game is pulling the strings.
