Triple H reveals huge plans for India
India is an important market for WWE, which was acknowledged yet again by Triple H, in a recent interview with The Hindu. The Game spoke about his previous experience of working in India back in 2017, where he wrestled and defeated Jinder Mahal in Delhi.
“That was an incredible experience. I really need to thank the people of India for their continued support of WWE, and it is such an amazing place. We keep sending our ambassadors there to visit — Charlotte Flair just came back after falling in love with India and the people — and they can’t stop raving about it. I can’t wait to come back!
He then revealed that WWE are planning to set up a base in India and that they could have local talent. Triple H also said that WWE could host more shows in the country soon.
“India is a key place in our expansion, which comes with its own set of challenges and hurdles, logistically. However, we are excited to establish a base there. We might even set up a pool of localised WWE talent to take things forward. Our long-term plan is to have global events regularly. We are already in the UK, India is definitely on that list!”
This is exciting news for Indian fans as well as pro wrestlers in the country as WWE have a massive fan following in India.
