WWE Superstar IYO SKY is enjoying a rather incredible run as the Women’s World Champion right now. However, Triple H could make the Damage CTRL star drop the top gold at the hands of Liv Morgan. Moreover, the Miracle Kid could dethrone the champ ahead of the 2025 Evolution.
Morgan kicked off this week’s episode of WWE RAW and cut an in-ring promo alongside Dominik Mysterio. The Women’s Tag Team Champion talked about putting Nikki Bella in her place last week and putting her out of commission for not mentioning her name as the best in the women’s division.
Following this, she called out IYO SKY, highlighting that she never received a rematch for the Women’s World Championship. While SKY answered Liv Morgan’s call, things didn’t go according to her plan when she asked the champ to simply hand over her title. The Damage CTRL star attacked The Miracle Kid and Mysterio, sending them reeling from the ring.
With this, Morgan and IYO SKY will likely get into a feud for the Women’s World Championship soon. However, this feud could result in the champ losing her belt. Triple H and his creative team could aim to put the title on The Judgment Day member and make her defend it against Nikki Bella.
The Hall of Famer and the Women’s Tag Team Champion are in a hot feud right now, and WWE could feature both of them in a Women’s World Championship at the 2025 Evolution.
It should be noted, however, that in case Brie Bella also makes a return, the company could make The Bella Twins face Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the Women’s Tag Team Championship instead. While this is a possibility, all of this is speculation so far.
IYO SKY could soon see a four-time world champion turn on her
This week’s episode of RAW marked the return of Asuka from a long injury hiatus. The Empress of Tomorrow competed in a Fatal Four Way match against Stephanie Vaquer, Raquel Rodriguez, and Ivy Nile. The former four-time women’s world champion pinned Rodriguez for the win to punch her ticket for the semifinal of the Queen of the Ring tournament.
Following her win, Asuka was interviewed by Cathy Kelley, who asked what was next for her. In response, the inaugural Women’s Royal Rumble winner said that she will win the QOTR tournament, and nobody was ready for her.
Interestingly, if the 43-year-old does become this year’s Queen of the Ring, she will go on to face IYO SKY at SummerSlam for the Women’s World Championship. Since The Genius of the SKY is a babyface right now, WWE may likely turn Asuka heel to build up their match for the New Jersey premium live event.
It would be interesting to see if the two Damage CTRL members will go against each other at the Biggest Party of the Summer.
