Over the last few years, we have seen an influx of talent come through the WWE developmental brand known as NXT. We see the new superstars grow before our eyes and become used to the WWE style of wrestling. The superstars are allowed to have a certain amount of creativity over their character, while the concept is kept simple yet effective in how storylines are run.

Triple H is the founding father of the developmental brand and keeps the concept of the show simple yet outstandingly well thought out. NXT constantly produces 5 star classic matches, while they also hold better pay per views than their main roster counterparts. The set up of NXT makes it feel more like an independent show rather than a WWE produced show.

You can easily see that Triple H is more of a traditionalist, keeping the show similar to how territory wrestling was, providing the fans with excellent simple story telling and great wrestling. "The King of Kings" has effectively made sure that his product is completely different from the main roster product.

Most people who watch both the main roster and NXT will say NXT is the better show. This is certainly the point of view that the hardcore fans have and rightfully so.

The main roster has failed to deliver a decent product for a few years due to reasons such as repetitive storylines, too many filler matches (also matches with no stakes), 50/50 booking and running Monday Night Raw for 3 long hours.

While the extended running time of Raw was supposed to be a benefit to feature more stars, it has been a complete disaster, especially when creative have no idea how to book certain stars and they get booked in random filler matches. Unfortunately the NXT call ups are usually targeted the most. Just look at the recent amount of call ups that hardly have been featured.

It is very disappointing to see these new call ups get wasted. It makes you wonder why they got called up when there are no plans in place for any of them and the roster is already stacked too much. There are stars like Bray Wyatt and Sami Zayn who have been waiting for a long time to return. It isn't surprising why superstars get fed up and leave WWE. The rosters are too bloated.

Many of the NXT call ups have proven in the developmental brand why they deserve to be there. It seems that somehow, no matter what they do or no matter how much Triple H builds them up, a lot of them do not make it.

Vince McMahon is one of primary reasons of this. He seems to continue to undermine everything that Triple H does for NXT and the stars. Evidence of this is the fact that Vince doesn't watch NXT very much, as well as a lot NXT talent getting buried on the main roster.

The perception of it all is that Vince doesn't agree with Triple H and his approach to the business. Vince wants to keep his company more focused on the sports entertainment side of things, while Triple H is more traditional by focusing on in ring action and story telling.

The unusual thing that seems to be proven is that fans seem to be more in favor of Triple H's approach, rather than the same old approach Vince has. You only have to look at how successful NXT has been, compared to the main roster to know what the fans want.

Vince McMahon and Triple H are going to need to find common ground to help the business evolve. Vince needs to be more willing to listen to Triple H's ideas, and also do more constructive things with NXT talent on the main roster.

It's ridiculous that a lot of them are buried simply because Vince has no idea what to do with them. Many of the stars deserve the chance to succeed, and could if they are given more of an opportunity.
