WWE Studios has released some family-friendly movies in recent years. In 2022, WWE is set to release an animated movie titled Rumble. Even though the company has stopped producing too many action movies in recent years, WWE is looking to target its younger audience with an animated sports comedy film.

Rumble will star two of WWE’s biggest stars, Becky Lynch and Roman Reigns. The SmackDown Women’s Champion and the Universal Champion will voice a couple of characters in the film.

The President of Paramount Animation revealed the following about the movie on WWE.com.

“Rumble is steeped in the world of wrestling, and what better partners to help bring this world to life than WWE?” said Mireille Soria, President of Paramount Animation. “They bring a pedigree and institutional excellence that is unmatched, and we couldn’t be happier to collaborate with them on this special film. We are thrilled to have a seasoned and dynamic cast in place to breathe life into this exciting story and can’t wait to bring it to audiences.”

The film stars Geraldine Viswanathan as Winnie, who aspires to become a wrestling trainer and manager just like her father. Winnie tries to train Steve, voiced by Will Arnett, into becoming a future world champion.

The movie was originally planned for a mid-2021 release, but the COVID-19 pandemic has forced WWE to aim for a February 2022 release.
