Samoa Joe is primed to make an in-ring return in the next few days

What’s the story?

Per Wrestling Inc, Samoa Joe is likely to return at the April 16th edition of RAW.

Apparently, Joe has been added to the aforementioned episode that takes place a week after WrestleMania 34.

In case you didn’t know…

Joe last competed against Rhyno on the January 8th episode of Monday Night RAW; suffering a foot injury that has kept him out of action ever since.

The Samoan Submission specialist was backstage at this week’s tapings of RAW, however, didn’t make an on-screen appearance at the event.

The heart of the matter

The vast majority of professional wrestling experts initially believed that Joe could possibly make his in-ring return on this week’s RAW, however, the theory didn’t hold true as WWE chose to refrain from having him return this week.

Regardless, Joe has reportedly been added to the April 16th tapings of Monday Night RAW that take place at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut, and could possibly make his in-ring return at the event.

Furthermore, as of this time, experts believe that Joe is likely to miss out on the chance of performing at WrestleMania this year.

What’s next?

The WWE’s biggest annual PPV takes place this weekend, as WrestleMania 34 airs from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday, April 8th.

While Joe is unlikely to compete at the Grandest Stage Of Them All, fans can expect him to be featured prominently on RAW in the weeks to come.

Author’s take

Joe is one of the most hard-working, dedicated, disciplined and intimidating performers to have ever graced the professional wrestling ring.

Nevertheless, no human in unbreakable, and even the toughest pro-wrestlers are susceptible to the injury bug. It’ll be intriguing to see the intensity at which Joe chooses to perform upon his return, especially considering the tricky nature of the injury he’s recovering from.

Foot injuries may not seem like much, however, for a Heavyweight fighter such as Joe, the toll taken on one’s feet is relatively amplified.
