Report: Vince McMahon Bans another wrestling term from TV

Sheamus’s “Backbreaker” is the latest term to be banned from TV by Vince McMahon

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, Vince McMahon might have banned the term “backbreaker” from being used on WWE TV, as Sheamus’s Irish Curse backbreaker was not referred to by name last night on Raw. Instead, during his match against Roman Reigns, Sheamus’ move was simply called a “knee to the spine” by announcer Michael Cole.

As of now there is no explanation as to why the term might be banned, but it’s something Vince has been known to do from time to time. If we don’t hear the term backbreaker going forward, then it’s safe to assume the word has been banned from use on TV.
